Winter
Boys and girls varsity basketball, a boys developmental JV level, grades 7–8, grades 4–6, and Littles.
Through the winter, Pine Tree Academy runs a weekly snowsports program with trips to local ski areas. Students can choose skiing or snowboarding, and lessons and equipment are available at special program pricing, so beginners can start from scratch alongside experienced riders.
Snowsports is a school winter program and activity, not an interscholastic varsity sport.

Four ideas shape what athletics looks like at Pine Tree Academy.
Varsity Breakers compete on a real schedule against Maine schools, with the standard set in practice every week.
A pathway from Littles through varsity means athletes grow inside one program instead of starting over each year.
In a small school, athletes are known by name. Teams are communities, not tryout lists.
Older Breakers coach, mentor, and set the tone for the students coming up behind them.
