Meet the Varsity Basketball Coaches

Three of Pine Tree Academy's four varsity head coaches are former Breakers student-athletes who came back to lead the next generation.

Jeff Davis

Head Coach

Davis played at Pine Tree Academy grades 6-10, then grades 11-12 at Shenandoah Valley Academy in Virginia. He then competed in NCAA Division II basketball and soccer at Columbia Union College and semi-pro basketball in the Washington DC Pro-Am League. He also has international experience playing professional basketball in Switzerland for Bernex Basket, as well as in France for EM Lyon (University) where he was the team captain as well as coach of the university women's team.

Boys Varsity Basketball — 2026 Class S South Regional Semifinalist
The Breakers reached the Maine Principals' Association Class S South Regional Semifinal in the 2025-26 season. Maine splits each class into 2 regions, so a Regional Semifinal is the statewide Elite 8 stage.
PTA finishes 5th & 6th at California Tournament
Pine Tree Academy's boys and girls varsity teams traveled to Pacific Union College in California for the 2026 Pioneers Invitational. The boys finished 5th out of 16 teams and the girls finished 6th out of 16, including a 48-38 win over Paradise Adventist Academy.
