To Receive And Reflect The Son
Pine Tree Academy is a Seventh-day Adventist Christian school in Freeport, Maine, open to students of all faiths and backgrounds, where student-athletes are known, challenged, and given opportunities to lead. Breakers Soccer and Basketball teams compete through the Maine Principals' Association with a real path to regional and state tournaments. On-campus boarding is available for students who want faith, academics, and sport in one place. Pine Tree Academy is located in beautiful Freeport, Maine, just 15 minutes north of Portland, with daily bus transportation available from Portland.

Pine Tree Academy is one of a very small number of Christian schools in Maine competing in Maine Principals' Association varsity athletics. That gives our student-athletes a path through regional and state tournaments, with the opportunity to compete for Maine state championships, while staying in a Christ-centered school community just north of Portland.

Varsity Breakers compete on a real schedule against Maine schools, with the standard set in practice every week.
A pathway from Littles through varsity means athletes grow inside one program instead of starting over each year.
In a small school, athletes are known by name. Teams are communities, not tryout lists.
Older Breakers coach, mentor, and set the tone for the students coming up behind them.
Development Pathway
Breakers athletes grow inside one program from the earliest grades through their senior season.
Grades K–3
Movement, ball skills, and love of the game.
4–6
Fundamentals and first team experiences.
7–8
Competitive middle grades basketball.
Grades 9–12
Boys JV development into varsity; varsity competes through the MPA.

Watch on WMTWPine Tree Academy's boys and girls varsity basketball teams traveled to Pacific Union College in California for the 2026 Pioneers Invitational Academy Basketball Tournament, a 16-school event drawing Adventist academy teams from across the country. The boys finished 5th of 16 and the girls finished 6th of 16.
