Breakers Open Season with 6-0 Home Win over Dirigo High School

Pine Tree Academy's boys varsity soccer team opened its season at home with a 6-0 win over Dirigo High School, scoring early and controlling play from the first whistle.

Camden Brace found the back of the net less than a minute into the match and added a second goal before halftime to set the tone. Santiago Lopez also scored twice, while Fitzroy Hakizimana added a first-half goal to extend the Breakers' lead.

Lucky Kabeya capped the scoring with his first varsity soccer goal, finishing the game at 6-0.

The match gave three eighth graders playing up their first varsity minutes. Sam Cornish nearly added a goal of his own on a free kick just outside the box.

All players also contributed important minutes, giving the starters a chance to watch and cheer on their teammates.

Pine Tree Academy returns to action Tuesday, September 8, against Carrabec.
