Breakers Rally Past Valley, 5-3, to Reach the Regional Final

FREEPORT, Maine — Pine Tree Academy's boys varsity soccer team turned a halftime deficit into a 5-3 win over Valley in the eight-player South semifinal, scoring four goals after the break at home in Freeport.

The second-seeded Breakers trailed the No. 3 seed before the rally began, then took over the second half and pulled away.

Samuel Batista scored twice for Pine Tree Academy. Miguel Matos, Collin Verrill, and Santi Lopez each added a goal.

Valley's Harry Louis accounted for all three of his team's goals.

The victory sent Pine Tree Academy to the regional final against top-seeded Telstar.
