FREEPORT, Maine — Pine Tree Academy's boys varsity basketball team pulled away early and never looked back in a 72-27 win over Temple Academy.
Collin Verrill scored 23 points, including three 3-pointers, and Santiago Lopez knocked down two 3-pointers during a 16-2 second-quarter run that decided the game. Rhett Tyson scored 13 and Colby Solberg added 12. Verrill and Solberg each finished with five steals, and the Breakers made eight 3-pointers as a team.
The win moved Pine Tree Academy to 8-1.
