Breakers Pull Away in Second Half for 6-1 Win at Carrabec/Madison

Pine Tree Academy's boys varsity soccer team went on the road Tuesday and pulled away from Carrabec/Madison in the second half for a 6-1 win, improving to 2-0 on the season.

The first half was tight. Lucky Kabeya put the Breakers on the board off an assist from Camden Brace, and the sides went to the break level at 1-1.

Captains Rhett Tyson, Collin Verrill, and Camden Brace led the halftime talk, and the response was immediate. Pine Tree Academy scored five unanswered goals after the restart.

Rio Soriano finished with a goal and two assists. Collin Verrill and Fitzroy Hakizimana each scored, a Rhett Tyson shot led to an own goal, and Luis Manchada-Sanchez scored his first varsity goal.

In goal, Abner Poland made two saves, including an important stop late in the match.

With roughly 10 minutes to play, Camden Brace left the game with a left-wrist injury. The severity was not known at the time of this report.
